Opening: Thomas Lauria

April 5, 2017

A graduate of the Tyler School of Art at Temple University, the work of Thomas Lauria is fueled by an anticipation of the haptic. The intense paraphilic relationships he has with select materials, scenarios and garments complicate the ways in which he navigates both physical and psychic space. Translated as interactive sculpture, documented performances, writings and prototypes, these complications seek both public accessibility and analysis. Opening: Saturday, April 8th at 7 pm

It's no secret that the Philly art scene has never before been as rich with young talent and new art to experience. Attending gallery openings is one of the best ways to meet young and emerging artists and to talk with them about their work.
