Haylee Ebersole is an artist currently residing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She creates sculptures, drawings, and prints that explore the transformative potential of everyday materials. Through an alchemical approach, she courts interactions with materials such as gelatin, kool-aid, and other household substances in effort to produce objects that evade static form- that resist and push back.

John Burt Sanders was born in 1984 in Arcade, NY. He has attended SUNY Fredonia (BFA, 2007), Manchester Metropolitan University and Ohio University (MFA, 2011). He currently lives and works in Pittsburgh, PA.

How does one distinguish between a manufactured landscape and that which has been altered by the hand? Where do the indistinguishable borders of these spaces exist and where do cultural landscapes begin? Through these fractured spaces we create identity, purpose and a sense of belonging through ownership. Cultivating a simulated new landscape through the use of fragile materials into articulated forms a place has been provided for the hand to reject the need to organize that which sustains us and escape the realities of assimilation.
